One star on Thursday night's installment of "The Apprentice" was the Pontiac Solstice, the sporty convertible GM hopes will revive the flagging line.The final six on the NBC show have been divided into two teams, each charged with developing a promotional brochure for the Solstice, the Detroit News reports. All members of the winning team get to live another week, while Donald Trump fires one person from the losers.
A Solstice is also part of the loot to be given to the winner.
GM debuts the little two-seater this summer at a sticker price of just under $20,000. The company is trying to tap a young professional market with the car.
Pontiac sales are down more than 17 percent this year, and there are some fears the name plate could go the way of the Oldsmobile.
